How to map the bones in Characterization mode that don't show up on the dummy?

The bones that you can pick on the dummy are different from the bones in my model. Specifically I would like to know how to map:
CC_Base_R_RibsTwist
CC_Base_R_breast
Currently I am not able to convert these bones to spring because when I go to “edit bones” and select ether of them, set bone type remains grayed out for any option. I read that this may be because they were not mapped during the characterization process. Which is true because I could not tell how you could map them.

Also how would I map these? And are they necessary for all of the Character Creator and iClone animating functions to work correctly?

This is the first time I’ve tried to use Characterization, so I could be missing something obvious.
