In CC4 I’ve imported a full body morph, and the character is working fine except for the hands
The “Set T-Pose” function (in the CHARACTER menu) is tough to use because… what do I compare it to? Like, what is a “proper t-pose”? I can’t figure out how to show a “proper” tpose ghost or something, so I can position the hands properly.
the actual pose you need is called ‘bind pose’ - that’s suppose to be the basemesh’s original geometry, before the rig.
it might be a T-pose or an A-pose, depending on the model… From memory, I think CC3 figures are mostly T with a relaxed hand (probably the source of your problem)
Thanks, but I’m specifically looking for info on how to get proper t-pose using the “set t-pose” feature.
I managed to figure it out via trial and error. I wish there was a “show ideal tpose” option that showed a character (with adjustable opacity) in the correct tpose; especially for hand poses.
I ended up loading the neutral character and putting it into t-pose and taking screenshots, then manually matching that hand placement. Then I added the “hand” animation, and kept adjusting my t-pose until the animation matched.
Did you try loading a T-pose (in “Set T-pose”) by pointing to Neutral_M.ccAvatar in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Reallusion\Reallusion Templates\Actor\Character\Base ?
That replaces my character with the neutral character. I already have loaded the neutral character earlier, and then exported that, and wrapped it in wrap etc. The issue is now that I need to manually place my character into the t-pose (its just a natural part of the FACEFORM WRAP workflow that the character at the end won’t be in perfect iClone tpose).
It’s all good, it’s working fine - I just do it manually by using reference images that I’ve made.
