Hi there
I am not sure whether I am in the right forum, but have just discovered the old forum has long been closed and one can only view topics. I see no where here in the categories one dealing with Crazytalk 7 Pro issues, but request anyone having an idea to help me as I am in desperate need of assistance.
I have a copy of iClone 6 and Crazytalk 7 Pro I used on a Windows 10 notebook but need to install it on a Windows 11 Pro notebook. I am aware this is an old program but I am not in position to get newer versions.
When trying to install Crazytalk 7 Pro, it says it cannot get installed because it cannot work with Virtual Machine Platform. Before that, one is advised to u´choose Win 7 or 8 compatibility.
A user in the old forum advises " Uncheck “Virtual Machine Platform”":
Are you getting a Virtual Machine error when trying to install CrazyTalk 7 on Windows 11?
If so, just do the following which should enable it to install.
1. In the Task Bar Search Box Type Control Panel and then open it.
2. Select Programs > Turn Windows Features On or Off
3. Uncheck “Virtual Machine Platform” and restart your computer.
4. Install CrazyTalk 7.
5. Repeat steps 1 & 2 and enable the Virtual Machine Platform again.
Unfortunately, mine was NOT activated at all. In other almost non-existent information on the subject after a Google search, there is a mention of deactivating Hyper-V.
In spite of both being unchecked, the same error keeps popping up and saying the installation would be stopped.
Is there any other place where the Setup is seeing an active Virtual Machine Platform where it could be deactivated?
Does anyone have any functioning Crazytalk 7 Pro or iClone 6 working on Windows 11 and if so, I do request for some assistance and please do not just tell me off.
Thank you in advance
