How do i import ALEMBIC into iclone 8?

How do I import alembic filkes into iclone 8 I keep getting the same error (I am trying to go from Liquigen (I know its not compatable) then take my alembic file into Blender to export for importing into iclone v8. Is there a Blender setting I am missing when exporting alembic inside blender to covert to alembic for use in iclone v8. are there any tutorials to convert alembic to use in iclone 8? My alembic files work inside blender but after exporting from blender to alembic same error (alembic direct export will not work in iclone but I think blender alembic should work in iclone v8

Or is there any software (free or not) to convert Alembic to Alembic of FBX (multiple frames FBX) files into 1 FBX file? I would like to have Alembic and FBX multi frames morphing meshes work within iclone v8. I am struggling for the last 5 or 6 years on this issue and there should be a solution at least for ALEMBIC files?

The only Alembic files that can be imported are those where the number of and the order vertexes does not change. So deformations are OK (as in clothing) but anything else will not work.

Thanx for the response, I will stop wating my time trying to bringing in Volumetric Fluids or fire particles into iclone and just crash learn other software. Thats too bad that FBX and Alembic Volumetric files will not work in iclone the same way they do in Blender, Unity, or Unreal. This would have been nice to see in iclone with a simulated particle volumetric Alembic or FBX file converted working in a scene. Will there ever be an update to iClone for particles with collisions?

Hi
any fluid sim that has a “flow” source like liquigen of flip fluids will not have a fixed number of vertices which is why you are getting that error.

Blender or UE for C4D etc are “streaming” fluids from an imported alembic cache file and the vertex number is changing with each frame.

you might be able to import a wavy ocean plane from blender into iclone as alembic because it is just a flat plane with animated displacements via the ocean modifier.

But no “flow based” fluids are possible.
