I want to put a short home video on animator 5, then add actors,it tells me wrong codecs, can anyone help please, I have windows 11

it seems you need to install some windows codec called “K-lite”

If you don’t want to install codec packs, then you may find it easier to just convert the video to wmv or avi. These normally load without any codec issues. This is the method I always use as I personally prefer not to install codec packs

Very good advice indeed, as installing codec packs may mess things up. I always use WMV and can play several videos at the same time easily (this is in Iclone, but I’m sure that would also be true for Cartoon Animator).

IIRC whith avi you can use transparent backgrounds as well.
