I dont see the benefit of using “Refine Face (Front/Side)”. Maybe its not working as intended. After setting the control points, adjusting the bezier curves and applying, the characters face looks worse. I followed the guide in the online manual and youtube tutorials to set the points.
Before Refine Face:
After Refine Face:
Does anyone has success with this and can give advice?
It also happens to me. Changing the lines and then apply “all changes” the face and the textures doesnt match and the face looks like a mess. ONLY works ok if “apply current” modification off that specific part of the face changes without messing the face.

I wasn’t too impressed with it either. I wanted to adjust the nose, beacuse as in your case the nostrils (the openings in the nose) were to wide. I was unable to get it corrected and it seems that the curve overlay is not matching what is actually created. So that is disappointing.
It seems that that underlying engine has a particular idea of what a nose should like and ignores what is actually on the image of the face.
So I use morphs to get the result I want but it is a lot of extra work.
Indeed, during the Refine Face Front and Side steps, when adjusting the points, the changes are not always applied in the preview. The plugin can sometimes be quite stubborn. In my experience, this happens especially with the shape of the skull in the side view and the nose in the front view.
Also, could you show us exactly where to place the points, for example by zooming in on their positions? Some points are fairly easy to identify, but others, such as the nose and ears in the front view, are not very clear.
I don’t know about you, but there’s one thing that frustrates me with Headshot 3: the depth of the eyes and ears when adjusting the head in the Refine Face Side view.
I would have liked more accuracy. The result is that the cheeks and eyes look compressed. The jaw and ears are not positioned faithfully. The render is sometimes very good, but I would have preferred a result closer to reality.
Do you feel the same way?
