Hi there,
I’ve been following this tut:
but couldn’t get the spring bones to work in Unity.
Weights seem to work in blender, then I rigified the character and exported “Both” as Mata.
As you can see in the following vid the spring bones don’t show up:
I’m using the latest CC4 GoB, and CC addon (2.3) and Blender 4.4.3
Anyone has an idea what I’ve been doing wrong?
Many thanks!
I wasn’t cleaning up the spring control rigs on export, so there were a lot of excess bones, possibly confusing things. Also the Unity set-up wasn’t picking up the spring rigs when used without other cloth physics.
Digging a bit deeper there was also a problem with the FBX export not adding the unit scale, at some point Blender doing it by default, which causes scaling problems with the rig in Unity.
I’ve updated the Blender add-on to 2.3.1: Which resolves these export problems, and also adjusted the CC Base Rigify export to align the bones to the original CC Base rig orientations. (Particularly the eyes and the jaw should be oriented the same as the original rig), The CC Base Rigify exports should be a much closer match to direct exports from CC/iC.
Blender: CC/iC Blender Tools 2.3.1
I’ve patched up the latest live version of the Unity setup to 2.0.2, to fix these problems and includes Unity 6.1 shader support for URP.
Unity: CC/iC Unity Tools 2.0.2
Hopefully the full 2.1 release for Unity should be out just before CC5 lands, that should have full CC5 support and DataLink functions.
