Great CTA Advice

This one hits a little close to home for me.

There are skills in animation I really want to get better at. Stuff I admire in other people’s work. Stuff I know would like to get better at in my own projects. And honestly? I get frustrated when I’m not improving.

But if I’m being real with myself, it’s usually not because I can’t learn it. It’s because I haven’t been setting aside dedicated time to actually practice it.

Not scrolling. Not procrastinating. Actual, intentional practice and dedicated time set aside.

Improvement isn’t magic, talent, or secret tricks. It’s showing up regularly, even when it feels slow or awkward. Especially then.

I’m reminding myself of this as much as anyone else. If you want to get better, you don’t need more motivation, you just need to make the time.

I think you also have to admit to yourself what your limits are. I’m speaking as an iClone/CC user but this goes for any pipeline.
For example, I know I am not good at character modeling from scratch nor does it have my interest. So I am happy to use are tools such as CC available that will give me a headstart when i’m developing a new character.

Absolutely! I never understand people insisting doing things the hardest way possible, when there are tools available that can speed these processes up. Who doesnt want to make life easier for themselves!
