I’m hoping someone can help. I love character creator and iclone and want to use them to animate
my characters from my children’s book I’ve written.
I understand that the software is mainly for bipeds but I also know people have successfully created horses and there seems to be an ample amount of presets in the marketplace for them to help with my animation.
My question is how best to get my mesh rigged for iclone. I’ve tried in blender with the pipeline reskinning an existing horse that works in iclone and with the animation. But whenever I reimport it the pose looks fine but the animation is either stretched off screen or the bones are twisted on their axis one way or other. This only happens with quadrupeds as I’ve tried the pipeline with bipeds successfully.
I’d really like to get my horse rigged to use and have spent weeks trying and am hoping someone can offer some guidance. I can’t afford maya but I’m willing to try anything within reason. I don’t mind learning but it seems getting a quadruped rigged is a specialty and needs someone who has done this to offer their workflow if possible. I’d even pay at this stage.
And I do understand the bone structure and naming convention are proprietary which is why use either existing iclone horse bones or rename my rig with the same structure.
Thanks for any help.
