Gestures tracks - blend out

Hello. I’m trying to better understand gesture tracks. Since they are outside of the motion layer editing, I’m not figuring out how to set weight keyframes. Gestures clips have a blend in range but not a blend out one.
I am trying to fix motion capture clips that have fingers data with few artifacts in some ranges. I built a gesture library to adjust incorrect finger orientation, and I thought I would be able to blend over or even override certain moments, but the applied gesture clip remains after the clip end until another gesture is placed in track.

Is it possible to blend gesture out in order to get back to original finger mocap after placing gestrues in a specific range?

Thanks in advance;

Maybe this will help: Gesture Plugin It’s provided by RL. You can pre-load various gestures and smoothly? (I haven’t actually used it) transition between them. I’m not sure about how to ‘end’ the gesture motion though…good question.

Does anybody know if you can use this plugin NOT in realtime? I like the idea of smoothly transitioning the hand gestures, but would like more precision over the timing.

Hi. I am aware of the Gesture Plugin and in fact I am using it. But it has a different worflow, since it is applied to the main motion layer. Furthermore, it requires additional steps, such as breaking the clip in the desired range and offseting the next clip fragment at least a frame to avoid it being deleted.

It would make much more sense if it was applied to the gesture track and being able to blend, enable or disable influence over the main motion.

I am still looking for a way to blend out the gesture track´s clips.

Hi @Auroratrek . You may set the playback speed to factors like 0.75, 0.5 or 0.25 in the timeline header. It provides much finer control to gesture puppeteering.

That is the only way I know, but it’s kind of brutal…
