Export of a CC5 character as .vrm for use inside our own web application

We hold a full Character Creator 5 license (account: [jouw account-e-mail]). We built a character in CC5 and export it via FBX → Blender → .vrm to use as the avatar of our own web application (a self-service kiosk for hearing-care clinics, running in a browser on iPad). The character is only rendered inside our own application; we do not sell, share or offer the character or any Reallusion content as an asset.

Because the app runs in a browser, the .vrm file is technically fetched by the client at runtime. We can serve it behind authentication so it is not publicly downloadable.

Questions:

  1. Is using a CC5-created character as a runtime 3D asset in our own application covered by the standard CC5 license (Export license terms)?
  2. Does it matter whether the file is served from a public URL or behind authentication?
  3. Are there attribution or additional license requirements (e.g. for Reallusion base content, hair or clothing assets used in the character)?

Thank you.

Hi… I would advise contacting Reallusion Support for help with this. They will be able to answer any licensing questions.
