Experimental Random AI Prompt Generator

Hello there,

for anyone interested in some experimental AI stuff, i would like to point to a software that wrote → (Free) AI Prompt Generator. AI Random Prompt Generator

Interesting. As I have suggested before to RL we REALLY should have a forum area devoted to AI stuff, even if it is not directly pertaining to RL products. Image generation for example could be used in a RL project so it would still be relevant.

As a generative AI enthusiast I must be brutally honest.

AI has already advanced beyond being a mere" compliment" to 2D/3D rendered workflows to become an outright replacement.
It is a completely different ecosystem where assets can be CREATED by the users on the fly via prompts
it is completely different asset “economy”
that once you fully immerse yourself in it you find very few reason to use your “traditional” 2D or 3D software.

Image generation for example could be used in a RL project so it would still be relevant.

I originally thought that AI would only useful for making my own backgrounds for Cartoon animator
But I soon realized that using Cartoon animator
(or MOHO Pro ) for 2D character animation is not only slower but far more limiting as far as camera angles and facial expressions and effect like explosions and flowing water etc.

And even on the 3D side of things, this is where we are at the end on 2025 with AI filmmaking
Not a single 3D model asset needed,
where will we, be by the end of 2026?

I agree, one particular thing I found exciting with Iclone was making video to video renders on runway - this was super powerful because it allowed you to tailor the animation beyond a prompt - more control to mitigate the nature of the randomness in generative ai. Previz for ai rendering could be a strong path.

One reason I suggested a separate forum area is that we could have discussions like this without it being flagged is inappropriate, which would be a pity.

And, even today there are people that create stop-motion animation or use other hands-on techniques. It may not be viable from a market or mass production perspective, but it sure is fun to watch as I found out at the recent film festival I attended.

I fully agree, RL should add more sub sections to the forum like every forum has. If any RL people read this: one strong argument for this is a positive effect on new potential RL customers coming through a google search that was not nessecarily RL specific, but lets say AI for example. AI Search-> RL Forum->this discussion->Marketplace->Iclone->new costomer. So every word counts !

@AutoDidact : Whats the software thats been used for city 3000 ?
BTW: I wanna make a film so bad, but do not know where to start, especially when itcomes to AI (i got confyui running local) i do not know yet how to produce consistency beetween single cuts.

I agree the a general off topic forum
(excluding politics & religion debates) would be nice.
But in this case I can see why Reallusion might not want people discussing complete alternatives to their commercial product ecosystem and to be honest we have vibrant and active AI animation communities on facebook ,twitter etc where people ,who use AI exclusively, gather and discuss and share techniques.

Honestly, I do not see someone looking for a way to make a videos like the “future city 3000” clip I posted becoming a new customer of the RL ecosystem as he would likely be deterred by the cost of the software,3D assets and plugins ( possible GPU upgrades), only to find out he/she needs to learn UE5, for better renders, and still will not be able to produce a video even close to that dense complexity even with UE5

I am subscribed to few YT channels that produce on that
level, but I don’t know what AI systems they are using.

My primary AI app for animation (2D & 3D) is the Grok App from Elon Musk
All of the recent stuff ,on my YT channel, was made with Grok (online) on my Phone app as I have no interest in upgrading to a bigger PC $$GPU$$ to run any local comfyui
as I have figured out a smooth pipeline for creating all of my AI content with FREE online tools
although I plan to upgrade to the paid version of Grok when I retire early next year, to get past the 20 animations per day limit.

@AutoDidact looks many of us are around the same age
Is it a secret or how did you manage to reach consitency beetween animations especially character wise at Grok ? To me it appears even when using exactly the same prompt, the result is always different. :-/

Hi no “secret” you have to do some prep work
and know how to comp images in an image editing program
BEFORE feeding them to Grok
if you want: a“ big muscular guy in paramilitary clothing
talking to female spy”

fine.

But its better to create the one version of each character you want and use a free online tool like adobe express to remove his/her background
and layer the PNG into scene of same art style then tell grok to have them run.fight or say this or that dialogue

I appreciate the feedback but I couldn’t disagree more.

The old forum which had so many sub-forums (most of which were never used) became an unmanageable mess. New forum users visiting the forum for the first time would be totally overwhelmed by the sheer number of main and sub-forums and would end up just posting anywhere. This meant most of my time was spent moving everything around trying to keep things organised.

Most forum users, especially news ones, want to come on, ask a question and get help. No one has time to spend an hour trying to find just the right sub-forum to post a question. The best forums keep it simple and that’s what we want to do here.

I asked this a while ago and someone from RL did not dismiss it outright. I wasn’t asking for hundreds of different subsections. But I think AI is important enough to allow at least some discussion of it.

Also, long-time users want more of the forum than to answers questions from new users. If we are just an extension of the helpdesk then I think interest will soon be waning. Several active long-time users have already disappeared.

The old forum might not have been optimal but I remember many interesting discussions with fondness, including those that discussed filmmaking and ways to improve the art in general. But it is what it is I guess.

Pete, i run forums myself and sadly thats every Admins daily (work) nigtmare. My experience is that users do not even look around for a suitable sub forum, they just post in the next best section. True ! Many forums overdo with sub sections badly, but this forum has’nt reached that level by far. I shurely do not insist having more room here, but in my opinion at least a section like “other” may already by helpful.

@AutoDidact rrrrright !!! Fore and background, why havent i thought of that in the first place… thanks so much for the inspiration !

We used to have a “General” section in the Legacy forum and that would already help.

Hi Job

I quite agree on the great discussions that took place back on the old forum.

Unfortunately I don’t think having more sub forums, or off topic forums, would really bring that back today because the market has shifted.

Back in the early days of iClone, the customer base was made up primarily of hobbyists, and the forum was a great place to discuss, share ideas and occasionally collaborate on projects.

Nowadays, because the market has shifted, and iClone and Character Creator have now become important tools for professionals, this sadly has negatively impacted on the number of hobbyists using the forum.

And although it is generalising, professional users of the software tend to come on the forum when they have an issue, and don’t really come on just to chat or hang around.

So with the new forum we stripped things back to just Reallusion’s product and services forums to try and keep things simple, and generally this has worked well from an organizational and moderation point of few.

But for sure new forum areas will be added over time, and all suggestions made will certainly be considered.

Thanks for the feedback K_Digital. We do appreciate it.

We will certainly consider bringing back an “Other” or “General Discussion” forum, although I think we will want to keep it 3D/2D animation focussed. Having a forum to discuss anything you like almost always leads to it being abused for spamming or advertising purposes or even worse “memes”. :scream:

Hi Peter,

At my age, nostalgia starts to kick in… :older_man:

But, I also want RL to be a viable company, so I appreciate your explanation of the changes that you see happening.

Thanks for explaining @Pete_RL i appreciate your consideration, Just a thought though : …

this sadly has negatively impacted on the number of hobbyists using the forum.

What if hobbyists stay away for exactly the reason of the issue discussed …
