Does HD Eyebrow work with HD CC5 character?

There is HD eyebrow inside CC5, which uses Smart Hair to generate the brow. But all the HD CC5 characters I found like Glamor series characters already have built-in eyebrow in their head texture. Such texture cannot be removed becasue it just draw on the skin.
So what the point of the HD eyebrow? It does not seem to work with HD CC5.

In such cases I usually remove the eyebrows from the head texture in a graphics editor. Or, if the painted eyebrows are not too large, I would simply overlay the HD eyebrows over the painted ones.

There may be other ways to do this.

Thanks for the tip. Directly paint on head texture using other image editor seems a workable solution. I hope my GIMP skill is good enough to handle such task.

I found a way to redraw (remove) the default eye brow using SkinGen premium. The whole idea is using SkinGen’s Eyebrow tool to draw skin in the default eyebrow position.

  1. Add a layer on head using “SkinGen Tools \ Specific \ Eyebrow.ccSkinGen Tool”

  2. In SkinEditor panel for the added layer, scroll down to shadow panel, using the following setting:

Shadow \ Opacity = 1 (Use shadow texture to cover the default Eye brow)
Shadow \ Blur = 5 (Blur the shadow to blend into skin)
Shadow \ Expansion = 0.8 (Enlarge the shadow area)
Shadow \ Normal \ Blend = 0.0 (No normal)
Shadow \ Color = #f1acc95 (or any other color that close to the default skin)

  1. In Transform panel, change the Scale, Offset Mirror X, and Y to let shadow fully cover the default eye brow.

  2. Replace the Right Pattern and Left Pattern texture by transparent texture. (Remove the color of the funny looking eyebrow from Skingen)

  3. Hair \ Normal \ Blend = 0 (Remove the normal of that funny looking eyebrow from Skingen)

Depend on where the default eyebrow is, you can also change the “Replace” setting to have the same effect as “Shadow”. They are the same thing with different position.

The result is not perfect, but it’s faster and easier.
