Hello! I recently bought into the Reallusion software pipeline with CC4 and I’m also looking at getting Iclone for animations. I have been playing with the free trial for a couple of days and I do like a lot of what it offers, though the interface was a bit unintuitive at first. How does this software stack up against something like Cascadeur for creating game/character animation assets? I’m specifically looking to make animations for video games as I am primarily a UE5 developer, so don’t necessarily need the scene and camera components included with Iclone since that can all be done inside of unreal engine (unless I’m missing something here).
Obviously a big factor for me would be straight exporting from CC4 into Iclone along with the facial morph animations. But what about using external assets inside of Iclone? e.g. I have an artist create a custom character mesh rigged to the epic skeleton and want to create animations for it, can I also do that with Iclone? My understanding with Cascadeur is as long as the skeleton is rigged properly you can import it and use the auto rigging animation tools which basically just work.
Thanks for your input!
