Character shows unnatural poses and arms in front and behind the body

Hi,

i am currently trying out different things. I have created a character that still needs some optimization. I still have a few questions about this.

I apply the motion “Climb Pole(15)” from the content library to my character and you can see how unnatural it looks.

  1. why do the lower legs bend so strangely? Is it possible to adjust this directly in CTA or can I adjust it directly when creating in Affinity Designer?

  2. the left arm is behind the head, which is due to the layer order. Sometimes you want to show the forearm behind the head and sometimes in front of the head. How could I change this in CTA?

Best regards,
René

  1. In Composer Mode, you can adjust the position of the pivot points for each body and face part so it will rotate correctly.

  2. In Composer Mode you can change the layer order of your body and face parts by dragging them into position in the Layer menu. This will make a permnant change to your character. Alternatively, in Stage Mode, you can use the Layer Editor (L) to change layer orders.
