Character jumping from zero position after applying custom mocap (UPDATE)

Hi all,

I’m in the process of assigning all of my custom Perception Neuron BVHs to my characters, and I’ve noticed that when I do, the character jumps from the zero position on the stage to somewhere else…then proceeds on with the mocap.

I’ve tried the ‘Reset Pivot’ option, which corrects this, but then the character walks on the spot. I need him to start at zero, then walk away as he’s supposed to. I’ve watched through several YouTube tutorials and the Reallusion manual, but I’m so confused.

Could someone please help me, because I guessing I’m over-thinking this one, and there’s a simple dropdown menu option that will correct this.

Much appreciated, thank you!

Hi…

You mention you have tried Reset Motion Pivot but have you tried Reset Motion Root? If not, then please follow the steps HERE which may help.

Hi Pete_RL, thanks for your suggestion.

I did see that, and tried all all options options but it didn’t make any difference.

Since that function didn’t work in my case, I had to go into the motion layer keyframes at the very start of the timeline and delete the T-Pose on the first frame. The anchor point (or pivot point as I think it’s also known) isn’t under my character, but I guess I’ll have to live with it. I’ll fix it in UnrealEngine.

Thank you anyway, I appreciate the suggestion
