Character gizmo moves away from character when applying some poses

When I apply some of the poses from the Content Store to a character, the gizmo we use to position, rotate, etc ends up separated (moved away but still linked) from the character making it almost impossible to work with that character afterward.

Is there a way to realign the gizmo to the character or a setting that stops it from happening?
