CC5 won't start

Hello,

I’m using the trial version so far. When I try to start CC5 on my computer, I get the splash screen and after few seconds, the application stops, without any error message.
What can that be due to?

Thank you.

My computer specs:
Windows 11
Intel Core i9
RAM: 64GB
Video card: RTX 4070 for laptop with 7GB

Hi…

Are your graphics drivers up to date?

Launching problems are often related to outdated drivers, so please check on the Nvidia website to see if newer drivers are available. Thanks.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for your reply. But I confirm my drivers are up to date (September 10 2025).

Have you restarted your computer since installing the trial of CC5? If you haven’t, give that a try as it can resolve launching issues.

Also, in case it is a permissions issue, please try right clicking on the CC5 icon and select “Run As Administrator” and see if that works.

Still not working (after restarting the computer and running the CC5 as administrator).
The only thing i have is the splash screen saying “please wait”, then nothing.

I’ve noticed there are log files, but they are unreadable in AppData.

The content of the last one is the following (i don’t know to share a file here):

You can also check the Windows Reliability Monitor and copy and paste the crash description here.

Press the Windows key and R to open the Run window. Then type perfmon /rel and press Enter. This opens the Reliability Monitor. Navigate to the red cross icons which symbolize crashes, then double click on the crash in the list to open the detailed crash description.

Nothing that concerns CC5 in Reliability Monitor.
Was it possible for you to decrypt the log information i’ve provided above?

If there is nothing in the Reliability Monitor the program at least doesn’t crash but simply exits.

I have no idea what the string above is. Could be a session token.

Sorry to hear you still have problems launching CC5.

As this issue will likely need deeper investigation, please contact our Technical Support department. They will be able to advise you further.

Hey I also have the same issue, I opened reliability monitor and I saw the crash information. It says under description “faulty application path”

There should be much more information, for example in which DLL the program crashes. You can copy and paste it here.

If you are using a laptop, you likely have dual graphics. So check to make sure that CC is running on your Nvidia card, and not the built-in graphics.
