CC5 + UE5.6 = Vast Improvement to my Conan the Barbarian Game

So for the past several years I have been solo developing a side-scrolling game which is intended to be inspired by the old school “Magic Sword” game from when I was a kid. The twist, is that my version will be set in the world of Robert E. Howard and H.P. Lovecraft, so as you can imagine I’ve had my work cut out for me. I’ve been using Character Creator since the launch of CC3 and with each new iteration, I take my existing work back to formula and try to improve with the newest tools on hand. I was super excited when I assumed UE5.6 and CC5 were coming out around the same time, but got kinda scr3wed when the timeline for CC5 got pushed back by months, so it became impossible to predict what changes I would have to make to my pipeline. After the release finally dropped, I’ve been working at breakneck speeds to get caught up and make up for the months in delay, but I have to say, in spite of my obvious aggravation, I am very happy with the resulting leap forward in quality. As such, I am sharing some screen shots, still very much work in progress…

You can’t just use the likeness of Arnold Schwarzenegger for your game. You could get sued over it. You’ll be better off by changing the face structure.

Well, since I have no intention of releasing said game, let alone commercially, I’m pretty sure I’m completely safe. Plenty of artists and devs make games they have always wanted to see merely for their own amusement and/or test of skill. An artist just recently posted a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game that was nothing more than Ninja Gaiden modded to use Turtle and Foot Clan models, and it is one of the most epic things I’ve ever seen. Same thing with the artist that made a 3D game mock-up of Mario Brothers but with a realistic model of Chris Pratt in Mario’s costume. What I’m doing is nothing new… but thank you for the concern nonetheless.

This Character is so good taking me back to the days , reminds me of the movie. I would love to see more but it’s certainly safer to keep it offline if your using multiple IP . Note some games can get permitted to use likeness if they pay / license it but that would have to be negotiated with the owners of said IP. Still this is pretty awesome to see.

Hi, thanks for sharing this amazing work with us! You can also post it here to participate in #MyFirstCC5 and get a chance to win the HD Ultimate Morph Pack!
