I made some clothing in Metatailor and saved the cloth in the way mentioned in tutorials - it doesnt show in content manager BUT it is present in the appropriate folder in windows explorer - The file IS there it just isnt showing in cc5 content. Also tried to import hair to content and got same effect.

Did you try saving the content directly in Content Manager?
To do this you just need to select the item of clothing in Scene Manager, and then click “Save” at the bottom of Content Manager. Normally doing this will automatically place the content in the correct category where you should see the item thumbnail displayed.
Just tried to do what you asked, as i saved it there was a brief popup saying “saving Thumbnail” as well as content - I right clicked in the empty box and selected find file and its definately being saved in that location. Just not showing in content - it does load if i double click on the explorer window file but obviously that is not the correct way it should be.
