I believe Cartoon Animator could become much more powerful by integrating AI directly into the character creation and rigging workflow.
For example, if a user uploads a character image or PNG character, AI could automatically:
• Detect the character’s head, body, arms, hands, legs, feet, torso, etc.
• Identify separate body parts and layers
• Automatically create the appropriate bones and rig structure
• Automatically place and configure bones/joints in the correct positions
• Generate a ready-to-animate character with minimal manual work
• Detect different character poses and adjust the rig when necessary
In other words, the user could simply upload a character, and AI would automatically prepare the character for animation inside Cartoon Animator.
It would also be very useful if Cartoon Animator could integrate with modern AI tools for:
• AI-assisted character creation
• Automatic lip-sync and facial animation
• AI motion/pose generation
• Text-to-animation or prompt-based animation
• AI-assisted expression and body movement
• Automatic character consistency and rig optimization
I think an “AI Auto Rig” feature alone could save creators a huge amount of time, especially beginners and users who create characters with AI image-generation tools.
I hope Reallusion considers adding deeper AI integration and an AI-powered automatic rigging system in future versions of Cartoon Animator.
Thank you for continuing to improve Cartoon Animator.
