Cartoon Animator 5.33 - Now Available

Cartoon Animator v5.33 (5.33.3821.1) - Now Available (24th February 2025)

Version 5.33 brings two major enhancements. First, the roundtrip vector editing workflow with Affinity Designer allows seamless transfer of vector artwork into Cartoon Animator. Second, Sprite & Smooth Hybrid Design enables more dynamic facial animations. This update also includes various bug fixes.

Fixed

  • Morph Head characters can now support lip keys. The lips no longer move when in Composer mode. (Feedback Tracker 11639)
  • Body Puppet recording will overwrite the lip keys for Morph Head characters.
  • Adjusting the Bézier of an object with a non-zeroed z-axis giving faulty results. (Feedback Tracker 11472)
  • Toggling “Show Bone” on and off for 2D Motion Key and reopening the window reactivates the checkbox. (Feedback Tracker 9449)
  • Some body parts are displaced when brought back into Cartoon Animator after changes in 3rd party image editor.
  • SVG characters in certain projects will have jagged edges in the rendered video.
  • The watermark does not disappear when Trial Motion is removed from the timeline.
  • Watermark appearing for certain imported content packs when the application is offline.
  • A character’s Transform Bone is not scalable when selected via the Composer.
  • Re-importing a character SVG from Illustrator 2025 causes it to displace.
