Can't launch or unistall CC5

When I try to launch CC5, the ‘Documents’ folder opens, and that’s it. The programme doesn’t seem to exist on my computer, even though the launcher says it’s been installed.

When I try to uninstall it, a message appears saying ‘Failed to uninstall the programme. Please verify that the programme was installed correctly before trying again’. But how am I supposed to check whether it was installed correctly in the first place? I can’t see any ‘reinstall’ or ‘repair’ options anywhere.

The only thing I can do is uninstall Reallusion Hub, but when I do that, a message appears saying that CC5 has already been detected as installed, and exactly the same thing happens when I try to launch or uninstall it.

Running it as an administrator doesn’t help. After creating a shortcut on the desktop, a message appears stating that the system cannot find the original file to run the programme. Restarting the computer doesn’t help either. All my drivers are up to date. Although this isn’t a problem with the system, but rather with the fact that this programme is supposedly installed even though it isn’t…

Hi…

Sorry to hear you having problems with your installation of CC5.

Check on the drive where you installed CC5 to see if the program files are there (look for the following folder structure).

\Reallusion\Character Creator 5\Bin64\CharacterCreator.exe

If you can’t recall where you installed CC5, just run a search in your Windows File Explorer. If you can locate CharacterCreator.exe then try double clicking it to see if it will launch CC5.

However, if CC5 won’t launch, or the installation files are not there, please contact Reallusion Support who can give you a registry cleaner to clear all traces of CC5 from the registry so you can install it again.
