Can animation make you a career?

There is so much to do as a solo animator. You need to be the artist, modeller, rigger, marketer and animator. So is it really possible for a solo animator to turn all that hard work into a living?

You may not have a big studio nehind you, but there are other ways to earn money in the animation industry other than just animating. There’s character design and rigging, creating background art for sale and even teaching your skills to others.
