I’m hoping to generate clips that I can ultimately integrate into the iClone – UE Live Link pipeline. Does anyone know if that’s possible?
I would say NO. The timeline and the AI video are two completely different formats.
PS I’m new to this but I think I’m correct. Nobody else was answering you, so I thought I would. Hope this helps.
Thanks for getting back to me, Mike. That’s kinda what I suspect, too; I appreciate the input. Cheers!
There’s a Reallusion plugin called Video Mocap. It captures motion from videos. I haven’t tried it on AI-generated videos, but you may see if it works.
You can download it here: Precise AI Mocap from Any Video | iClone Video Mocap
You can also find tutorials there to see how it’s done. It costs points to generate, but perhaps there is a trial where you can test it.
IF you mean videos or images made with AI - Or in fact any media that is recognised by Iclone [check manual ] yes you can bring the file into iclone. It will appear on the timeline but there is little you can do with it. You could render out several clips this way but you have no capability to blend etc like you do with animations so it is better to open them in a dedicated video editing software.
I was just experimenting with this and posted an item " Hint for Start frame in AI video ’
I believe the AI video output is mp4 so should open unless I’m missing the point. See my further reply to [scottemis]
As far as I can see, scottemis was speaking of the iclone to UE animation Pipeline. AI studio output video and audio files but not animation file. So they aren’t directly interoperable. That is all I’m tried to say.
It does rather depend on what ‘exactly’ he was wanting to do. He said Generate clips and I understood from that he meant video. If he was thinking the AI created animation in the way Iclone does [ fbx, bvh files etc ] then you would be right - two destinct different types of format. cheers.
