What have you found to be the best practices for exporting a landscape from Unreal Engine to iClone using the Transfer to iClone in the LiveLink action button? What is the max size of terrain you can send? Can you break up in the terrain into small chucks for transfer? do you use Merged, Simplified or the regular transfer method? Has anyone seen any videos specifically addressing terrain?
File, export, select landscape, export as fbx with no collision, and import into iclone.
If your goal is to use the landscape as animation reference, using the “Simplified” method is recommended. It will merge objects and reduce the faces to free up your computer resources. For more precise close up referencing, you may use “Merged”. And for objects that will be interacted separately, default transfer keeps the actors separated in iClone.
You can select what you want to transfer at a time, so you may break up the transfer in your preferred way. As for the sending size limit, It’s not a hard-coded limit but you may crash if the size got too large.
