So here’s a story. I’ve created this character in 2023. Lately I started getting issues with it in both iClone 8 in CC 4. This character basically slows down an entire project whenever it’s loaded.
Trying to move objects, characters, limbs, doing other operations… etc. takes 5 seconds. Also CC4 crashed when I try to export as iAvatar, but I was able to save it to iAvatar from iClone 8.
I’ve spend hours trying to figure out what’s wrong with it to no avail. I encourage someone from RL (or anyone else) to download it and try to find out what’s wrong with it. Maybe you’d have more luck with it, or at least find a bug in iClone8/CC4 which cause this behavior (which is think is a cause).
FYI: I removed cloth, applied neutral base morph and skin, default eye and teeth. So it looks like a Neutral Base character - only with a bunch of derivative sliders (inherited from the original and possibly causing the issue).
Easiest way to test:
Apply a 3D box prop to a new IC or CC project.
Move a box around.
Apply a Bad_Character and try to move the box around a few times.

It moves ok, animation clips also play fine.
But try to quickly move the cube 3 times in a row, move and release, move and release again… On my computer there is 5 sec delay after the mouse release before I can move again. Your computer might be faster, but you should feel the difference. Also try to animate some bone with move and release a few times using Edit Motion Layer.
Thank you much for testing thoroughly. After your post I figured I will uninstall and reinstall both CC and iClone. And it did fix the issue. Had to be some shared libraries issue.
