I recently purchased a 3D model of a German Shepherd Dog. The model came with several root motion animations, including walk forward, walk left, etc.
When I apply the walk left animation, the dog walks in an arc to face a different direction (as expected). However, if I apply a walk forward (or any forward motion) the animal snaps back to the original direction.
I can fix this with human characters using the motion director, but it isn’t an option with creatures.
I’m quite new to all of this so maybe I’m missing something obvious but if anyone has any ideas to correct this, the input would be greatly appreciated.
