Hello there,
I’ve been very impressed with the recent advancements over the years, with the character creation and animation tools in this platform, however, I think there is one big missing piece of the workflow pipeline puzzle.
Since Unity unfortunately announced their departure with Ziva dynamics, selling it off to DNEG studio, I’ve been looking for a viable alternative. Although there are other similar support out there, some of them don’t feature the high quality features similar to Ziva and for the ones that do, they come with a hefty price. A high quality soft tissue simulation should consist of a musculoskeletal system with a skeleton, muscle to muscle constraints (tendons), internal fascia (muscle glue), some volumetric fat surface, and skin. You should incorporate a high quality facial muscle sim and more fluid and flexible fingers and toes movement (muscle constraints tendons). This is what makes high-quality projects, industry-ready CGI. AdonisFX by Inbibo has launched a very decent high quality soft tissue sim with their recent update, however it’s packaged in a pricey annual subscription, which I very much dread.
Therefore, I think it would be advantageous if you compete in this market, by releasing a similar product with a perpetual commercial license, into your Reallusion product package. This has MASSIVE potential and would be a very satisfying ecosystem for your customers/clients/community. I’ve attached a few sources for reference to get a general gist of what the system should look like.
