Accupose (subscription !)

great feature shame it wants to put its hand in your pocket every month

update
I do a lot of work offline
I went online and installed the accupose plugin, to test the free version. but while using the plugin the moment I go offline or log out of my account in iclone, the Iclone watermark appears on screen, obscuring the character
This is another example of an ongoing issue which I have raised previously, dispite assurances from reallusion to provide a fully functioning offline mode, reallusion keeps introducing functions that require being online and connected to reallusion servers. Which then puts obstacles in the way to prevent users trying to working offline

Hi…

You should be able to use the free version offline. If you continue to have problems with this, please can you report it in the Feedback Tracker and if possible attach a video capture showing your workflow. They will then try to find the cause of the problem and will give you an update there.

Agree ! Subscription makes it impossible for users who might only want to use the feature from time to time.
I think maybe this is licensed from another party [Cascadeur ??] and ā€˜their’ terms apply.

Don’t post conspiracy theories
I have a cascadeur pro license
Their auto posing
is a bit more advanced compared to the feature videos I have seen of Accupose.

They are a direct competitor to Iclone in the indie gaming animation space and Cacsadeur will soon add a live ink to UE5 to record Cinematic takes directly to metahumans the sequencer without the need to export & retarget.

It is not likely they leased their Autoposing to Reallusion and set monthly fee ā€œtermsā€ while still allowing Reallusion to offer a free basic version of Accupose.

Conspiracy theory ? A theory maybe but no conspiracy !
Ifyou have Cascadeur why bother with Accupose ? The FREE Accupose version is only to give us a taste and without subscription not much use.

BTW , Do you think RI made this plugin themselves and decided to market as subscription ? Not their usual way of doing things !

Actually I don’t have access to Accupose or any feature of Iclone after version 7.9 with 3DX pipeline and CC3, which are the versions I still occasionally use.

Iclone is great for quickly laying down base layer body locomotion animation that I then make more realistic with cascadeur Auto physics and export to blender for final scene assembly rendering.

Yes, as cool as auto physics and Ragdoll in Cascadeur may be, it is not some newly invented technology that Reallusion (or any one else) would need to lease only from them.

I have been doing ragdoll in my old Endorphin software for twenty years.

As far as the subscription, I admire how Reallusion has resisted the obvious temptation to go full subscription based and keep the core apps (Iclone/CC5) perpetual licensed.

ā€œAccupose advancedā€ is just a value added option for people who need that level of motion realism and prefer to stay inside the Iclone ecosystem to get it.

Your detailed response is appreciated !
I have Endorphin too but never spent much time with it though easy to get the fbx into Iclone. Great for stunts etc
