2026 Reallusion 3D Character Contest, "KON", Realistic category

Hello Everyone, I’m happy to finally delivery my final art pieces.
Really hope you like it!!!
Kon is a character art project developed over approximately one month, for the reallusion 2026 character contest,
For this character I was exploring the visual reinterpretation of the ancient Andean-coastal primordial god of wind, rain, and creation from pre-Columbian mythology (Paracas and Nazca iconography). In traditional lore, Kon is envisioned as a light, bird-like creator deity with piercing eyes who shaped the desert coast. For this piece, I brought that mythological essence to life through intricate pre-Columbian goldwork, ceremonial textiles, and authentic turquoise gemstones.

The Creative Challenge:
Normally, I skip 2D planning and jump straight into 3D sculpting. For this project, I made an exception by starting with a quick conceptual sketch to lock down the silhouette and armor design before diving into the digital pipeline. Balancing historical pre-Columbian aesthetics with realistic high-end materials—like weathered metals, detailed plumage, and organic skin—was an exciting challenge throughout this intense one-month production cycle.
Software & Pipeline:
Concept: Digital 2D sketch, Photoshop
Base & Workflow: Character Creator.
Sculpting & Details: ZBrush (armor, ornaments, and high-poly sculpting).
Texturing & Lookdev: Substance Painter and Marmoset Toolbag.
Compositing & Edit: DaVinci Resolve
