Pieter Hardeman aka “Crassitudes” is the head of “Toystorylab”, a little animation studio in Berlin, Germany. Born in 1970 in Belgium, he lives in Berlin since 1988. His creative work focuses on the area of visual media, and includes political punk collages and band videos. In 2009 he also began to explore the world of stop-motion as an enthusiastic autodidact. Meanwhile he founded his own studio, where he offers stop-motion workshops and in experimental projects brings to life his large collection of figures and miniatures accumulated over a period of well over 20 years.
