I restarted my hub and I have exactly same issue
Some users are only interested in Character Creator and do everything else in external applications. So iClone would be of no use to them.
It’s sure understandable, but yet I wish to see more features of CC in iClone.
Like you are in the middle of a large project - animating multiple characters and need to get rid of a small pock through in certain pose or tweak cloth weights, or hide body mesh or do a lot of other small “things”. You now have to send character to CC which is painfully slow, then send a pose (to replicate a pock), which is slow too, fix, send back - again slow. And then 5 min later find out you need more tweaks for other character…
And then character round trip does not always go smooth, a lot of times morphs need to be animated over and over, Exclude effect redone with each trip which is really annoying!
In other words a lot of wasted time for something which could have been fixed right there in iClone in seconds.

Try using Natalie and Christian’s collision shapes for poke through. So far, they have the best collision shapes out of all the avatars. I haven’t tried the CC5 avatars yet.
When I got it right, we once had an option for that in IC, but it was abandoned ;-/
I have no idea why this has been removed (I think starting with IC8)

Frankly, since IC6 (the fist edition I started with iClone), I don’t remember that it had any of the editing features.

Physics is not an issue. Regardless of collision shapes type, I can always tweak them in iClone. It’s other things I mentioned +, I want to be able to do in iClone instead of dragging characters back and force between apps, wasting time and loosing characters configuration attributes in a way.
Ooops, as I also started with IC6, I just checked again, and it was “Conform Clothing”, which still is there in IC8… 
So, nothing has been removed…
Oh yeah… that terrible Conform Clothing… lol.
I wonder if that was improved in CC5 (I highly doubt though).
