great job, she’s really stylish
Hello everyone, here is my little contribution after a few hours testing CC5
you can see a rendering in CC5 and a test in Marmoset which is really not conclusive. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the images.

I’ve been playing around with more stylized characters for a project I’ve had in mind for a while now, based on a lot of the old Sci-Fi films from the 1950s. I started with a classic pilot type character, inspired heavily by Kenneth Tobey in films like “The Thing From Another World”, “It Came From Beneath The Sea”, or “Beast From 20,000 Fathoms”. Here are some of the results… #MyFirstCC5

I waited a bit with upgrading but today I installed IC 8.61, CC 4.61, and CC 5.01. Everything worked, the only complaint I have (as others have mentioned) that it takes forever to install content, even if it is already installed in Reallusion Templates.
My system is an Alienware R5 17 with 32 GB RAM and a GTX 1070 with 8GB VRAM and it performs reasonably well.
Here is what I am working on now. I redid my character using the new CC5 bases and textures, also some Skingen work, I used the Unreal Engine pipeline for the render.
I really am enjoying the new version. Had thought about using Metahumans for my characters, but Character Creator, especially now, is way more efficient and, in my opinion, a better character creation tool.
Hope you like.

Just for fun I installed the CC/iC Blender addon to rerender my character in Eevee to see how easy it would be. The main hurdle at the moment is that I don’t know Blender well enough to navigate it effciently. However, I did come up with something “artistic”.
I just noticed, I should have given her something to sit on… ![]()
