I am writing to report some technical issues I am encountering with the Blender Pipeline. My current software environment is as follows:
• iClone 8: Latest Version
• Character Creator 5 (CC5): Latest Version
• Blender: Version 5.01
• Pipeline: Version 2.3.4
I am currently experiencing the following two specific issues:
Mesh Replacement Failure: After sending an avatar from CC5 to Blender and modifying the mesh, I am unable to successfully “Replace Mesh” back to the original program.
Transfer Issue from iClone 8: When sending an avatar with accessories from iClone 8 to Blender, iClone 8 displays the progress bar indicating the process is active; however, the data does not actually transfer to Blender. (Please note that this feature works normally when using CC5).
I would greatly appreciate your assistance or any guidance you could provide to resolve these matters.
This issue also persists in Blender version 4.3.2 and Pipeline Plugin 2.3.2, where it previously functioned correctly. It appears that the IC8 update may have triggered this problem.
While it is certainly possible to export the prop, import it into Blender, and manually attach it to the character’s bones, this workflow is highly inefficient. Furthermore, regarding clothing modifications, it goes without saying that having meshes modified in Blender apply directly to CC5 is the most efficient approach.
I would greatly appreciate your prompt feedback on this matter.
Same, my blender pipeline isn’t even working when I’ve rolled back to Blender 4.5 and 2.31 of the plugin. Literally can’t get anything sent to Blender but have to wait through a sampling motion bone loading screen. Just downloaded the latest IC 8 CC4 update from a few hours ago and still no luck. I really depend on this Blender pipeline so this is super frustrating.
