Inserting frames between two motion tracks in the timeline

I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but I’ve followed the iC8 online manual and the insert frames function on the timeline is not working as described.

I’m trying to add frames between two motion tracks. The manual says the frames will be inserted after the play bar. So I position the play bar several frames before the motion track that I want to insert the frames immediately before.

I select the insert frames icon from the top of the timeline tool bar and instead of inserting the frames after the play bar (as explained in the iC8 manual) it inserts the frames at the very beginning of the timeline (frame 1)

I have repeated the process several times with the same outcome.
Is there something I am doing wrong/missing or is this a bug ?

Thanks!

Hi…

I just tested and found everything worked as intended in iClone 8.62.

The first screenshot below shows two motion clips with the Play Bar in-between them. The second screenshot shows the two motion clips after inserting 20 frames with the second motion clip starting 20 frames later than originally.

So if you try this simple test are you still finding the inserted frames are added at frame 1 and not at the point of the Play Bar?

thanks Pete.
I gave that a go and it still didn’t work.
So restarted iClone and seemed to have worked.
Will try again and let you know if there are any further problems.
