So I have imported character into blender and it’s fully rigged fuctioning but I don’t know how to chagne between FK and IK so I can animate different body parts I think it’s a must known thing in animating so how I chage between these when I animate?
I use the CC import feature too btw the blender pipeline function so I quess the chagne can be made inside the pipeline add on???
Also is there full manual of the blender pipeline add ons inside CC and the panel inside blender???
Via the Auto Setup Panel: The most commonly used FK/IK switches for arms and legs have been integrated directly into the Auto Setup panel, which you can find in the Rigging & Animation section. https://youtu.be/ISLmsuhbbtk?si=Z1CDsueY1spOTZfq&t=316
Via Blender’s Native Settings: In Pose Mode, select a bone that supports FK/IK (such as an arm bone). You will find the adjustment settings under the Item tab in the sidebar (please refer to the tutorial video for a step-by-step guide).
Important Note: Both methods require you to generate a control rig using the Rigify feature within Auto Setup. FK/IK switching will not work on custom armatures or a character’s native imported skeleton. For detailed instructions on how to use Rigify, please refer to the same tutorial playlist.
Yes, you can definitely make the change inside the pipeline add-on.
Could you please confirm which version of Auto Setup you are using? We suspect this may be a version-related issue. If you are using the latest version (2.4.1 or later), we will need your character file and the exported FBX file for further investigation. You may send it to winnerhung@reallusion.com or send us a drive link.
The FK/IK feature was introduced in Auto Setup 2.0. We recommend updating to the latest versions of Blender and Auto Setup so that we can better assist you if you encounter any issues.
aah, ok good to know. I’m not 100% sure do I really need them yet but if I do I will update. I have use 2.1.11 before but that don’t work in blender 3.3 so I need to upgrade at least 4.0 if I remember right which I tested it on last time.
