[FAQ] ⚙️ Automated Settings & Interface Restrictions Explained

Hi everyone!

As you dive into the new AI Studios interface, you might notice that certain settings like style presets or camera techniques are grayed out or locked when you run a 3D-guided generation. Don’t worry, your software isn’t broken! The pipeline is actually doing some heavy lifting automatically behind the scenes.

In this FAQ thread, we break down exactly why certain features are restricted and how the system smartly automates your camera settings, frame rates, and styling choices.

Q1: Why are style presets unavailable during video generation?

  • Answer: Style is entirely determined during the initial Image Generation phase. Because the video generation pipeline builds directly upon that generated image as a foundational reference, the style carries over automatically. There is no need to select it a second time.

▲ The first frame image determines the style of the video

▲ The 3D animation sequence inputs spatial and motion reference

▲ The video model follows the style of the reference image (First frame image)

Q2: Why are camera technique presets unavailable in 3D-guided generation?

  • Answer: When a 3D camera reference is already active, adding a separate camera text prompt becomes completely redundant. Doing so will only confuse the video model and produce unexpected visual glitches.

:movie_camera: The Rule: 3D-guided generation will inherently respect the camera settings, angles, and movements you have set up within your iClone 3D environment.

Prompt:
A dramatic cinematic scene of a tense exchange between a man and a woman sitting at a table. The man has a cold and guarded demeanor with visible muscular tension, a clenched jaw, and a furrowed brow conveying suppressed frustration. Maintaining sharp, piercing eye contact with rigid posture, his lips barely part as he leans heavily on the table, his voice dropped to a barely audible whisper: “I’ve got word on Jack. He’s still alive.” The woman is anxious, breathless, and struck by sudden disbelief. Her eyes widen, pupils searching his face for any sign of a lie, as a fleeting flicker of hurt and profound sadness crosses her features. Her shoulders are tensed, holding her breath in a moment of emotional suspension, her eyes flickering with a mix of hope and pain as she says: “Can you help me find him?” Shot in a realistic movie style.

Q3: Does the frame rate (FPS) set in the iClone timeline affect the final video generation output?

  • Answer: No. When your 3D animation is converted into a reference video for the AI pipeline, it is automatically locked to 24 fps, regardless of your iClone project settings. You can safely keep your iClone timeline set to Time Mode during production.
