Clarification needed: Identity, WIPs, and AI-assisted assets

Hello,
I have a few questions regarding the contest rules and would appreciate some clarification:

  1. Are participants allowed to enter under a forum username, artist alias, or screen name, or are contestants expected to publicly use their real identity?
  2. Regarding the WIP requirement, are participants expected to post work-in-progress updates throughout the contest and engage with feedback from the community/moderators, or is it acceptable to document the process and submit all WIP materials together with the final entry?
  3. The rules indicate that AI may be used for concept art, reference generation, and as a creative aid. Does this allowance also extend to AI-assisted creation of supporting production assets such as tileable textures, decals, material maps, or similar texture resources used during the character creation process?

Thank you for your time and clarification.

Hi jaegermanjensen3d,

Sorry for the late and here’s our clarification!

  1. We suggest that participants to use real names because when it comes to prize delivery, we will need to document and for tax filing.

  2. Participants can either opt for a regular update, or a final one piece WIP post to demonstrate their work. But please remember that all WIP post URL shoyuld come from ArtStation, BlenderArtist, or ZBrushCentral.

  3. Yes, we allow AI-assisted creation, such as textures, decals, material maps, or similar texture resources used during the character creation process as a creative aid. And we would also appreciate you showing it in the WIP posts! Our contest is also a platform where many artists can learn and grow.

Hi Eric_C

Ok, sadly, your clarification confused me. Are you saying, in point 3, that WIPs posted here don’t count? Or that we need a/some WIPs here AND at one of the listed 3 other locations? Lastly, other posted WIPs, like on YouTube, don’t count?

Sorry. It may just be that I need more coffee…

Thanks!
