Can't delete in blender textures and other vertex groups?

When I import character into blender and try to delete all other data except mesh why is it that when I then save this blender file that don’t have any textures or vertex groups in it when I append the character mesh from this blender file the mesh has textures and vertex groups???

I only want the mesh nothing else how I do this so the blender file don’t have anything else left other than the mesh itself???

This is CC related question since obviously CC leaves some metadata into that blender file and don’t let me delete it and thus when I try to import the mesh it has textures and vertex groups in it.

Hi Duude,

To help us replicate the issue, could you kindly send us your file at winnerhung@reallusion.com, or share a download link via Google Drive?

Thanks!

I haven’t done anything to the character I used the template character from CC and exported that using export to blender feature. I am jsut testing things with the character so you can also just use the same character via the same blender export there is nothing special of my character.

the template character I used is called Female_Athletic CC3+ character.

Hi Duude,

If you only want to export the mesh without textures or vertex groups, just uncheck all the options in the settings shown below before exporting as an OBJ.

Best regards,

Didn’t really thought of doing it this way which is very nice! I use blender to re do more my characters and have used the cc blender add on so didn’t even thought of this

Glad to know that we have resolved your issue.

I also foudn a way to delete everything I have forgot to delete the extra info tide to the character like vertex groups and others like that. After deleting the mesh stays same size, but when I try to import it to another blender file though “append” feature the character size is multiplied like 1000 times, why is that?
