Auto Setup for Maya v1.04 is Now Released － Adds Dockable Workspace

Hi everyone,

Maya Auto Setup 1.04.1811.1 is now available as of June 15th, 2026. This release brings a more flexible workspace, smoother support for legacy rigs, and several stability fixes. Here’s what’s new.

Enhanced

  • Improved compatibility with legacy rigs, ensuring smoother support for non-HD profile characters.
  • Improved the Arnold shader retargeting workflow by using maya.env configuration instead of system environment variables.
  • Added support for a dockable main panel, allowing more flexible workspace customization.

Fixed

  • Resolved a dockable widget issue that could cause crashes in Maya 2026 when running on older Maya versions.
  • Fixed a dockable widget shutdown issue that could trigger errors when exiting Maya.
  • Fixed Collect Texture workflow issues. Texture collection can now be correctly enabled or disabled through the checkbox control.

Hey there, I’m having issues with the face rig on this release. The control board spawns in but none of the sliders are functional. I’m using Maya 2026 and the 1.04 release of auto setup. The rest of the tool seems to work fine.
