The Image render function works OK
But in video mode once you hit “preview” and the control net updates , the preview button stays greyed out in the AI render box and the “render” button stays greyed out in the Render preview box
even if you switch back to image mode
The Realluison tutorial shows both the render button and preview button being active after the preview finishes
I’m using the 1002 version the plugin with the patch applied in iclone 8.71
Ai render died. With the release of “Ai studio”, comfyui-iclone relationship now remains an old-thing experimental legacy.
Are we supposed to uninstall AI Render to prevent conflicts with AI Studio? That would be good to know.
It’s typical of Reallusion to cripple a function without any heads up to its customers
AI studio as far as I can tell requires allowing third party servers access to my content to render, I’d use AI studio if it were desktop based and I had full control over my work
Apparently We are not allowed to use the word K i l l to describe disabling a function " First amendment dude"
Sad and annoying. I actually spent quite a lot of money for a decent graphics card I could use with AI render.
First tests with AI studio were disappointing, less control, hardly the character consistency I would need for my game projects - might be okay for different tasks, but definitely not for what I was looking to use it for. Shame.
Iclone is a great tool but the way reallusion behaves they’ll destroy their own product. they seem determined to put their hand in their users pocket every chance they get. Cant make money from the comfyUI plug because its standalone, lets k i l l it to keep the subscription fees rolling in A third of the menu bar has items I dont use and cant remove, and they all require either subscription or pay per use. There is already a user revolt over subscription based services and Realusion is blindly walking into it
@puremindmatters Maybe check out WanGP, which offers a user interface and optimized implementation for many video, audio and image models and everything runs locally.
Thanks
I will
Thanks, I’ll check it out, looks very interesting.
I thought, AI render was pointing in the right direction, where you could do many things, test rendering, training your loras, tweaking and refining to get exactly what you wanted locally and run the final really long and rescource intensive sequences on runcomfy and suchlike. At least for me, AI studio is presently on the wrong track.
Well, but that is only a small part of what I have to focus on, so I’ll see how this develops and which alternatives I have. Thanks again for the suggestion, I’ll look into it. Back to unreal and my amazing AI helper (Ludus) there …
Please see the thread HERE regarding the changes from AI Render to AI Studio. This also explains the reasons for switching to a Cloud based service.
As the old beta will no longer be updated and has been replaced by AI Studio, it is recommended to uninstall it.
The bottom line here, is the bottom line
the way AI studio is set up users will have to pay to TEST renders its a buy to try system. Cloud based services are pushed as offering users cost effective access, which is true for casual users, but for the large majority of full time users the cumulative costs are far higher than a single up front cost of a perpetual licence.
Unlike streaming services, the software subscription model is an economic lie, designed for one purpose, to keep a steady revenue stream coming in while obscuring the true costs.
Cloud based services allow companies to brick games customers have paid perpetual licences for, disable functions in automobiles, the list goes on
This is overwelming evidence that third parties cant be trusted to protect users or their content.
The Reallusion EULA for AI is a perfect example, It’s criminally one sided, in Reallusions favor, the user has ZERO recourse
It’s not even stacking the deck, It’s Reallusion holding all 52 cards
take 8 INFRINGEMENT AND ENFORCEMENT
where Reallusion can act against a user for " no reason"
So your going to take a users money then not provide the service “because Reallusion felt like it” Interestingly sec 13 claims this EULA is in accordance with California law, yet its unlawfull in California to fail to reciprocate the consideration without good reason. I’m guessing this would make either the EULA unenforcable. or a breach of contract by Reallusion
The fact that such a statement is even in the EULA is a huge tell
So your link to why Reallusion went “cloud based” is completely outweighed by all the other evidence.
Hello Everyone,
We have been closely monitoring your feedback regarding the issues with the AI Render (ComfyUI) video rendering functionality. We apologize for the frustration and any confusion this has caused.
Our team is actively working on a fix, and we are aiming to release a patch in late July to restore and stabilize the video rendering features.
Thank you for your patience and support while we get this sorted out.
Best regards,
The Reallusion Team
