For the turntable, i tried to make it feel a bit old school. The animation was made with spring bones for the physics of the ropes and his hat thing. I added a small animation for the toad as well, which i attached as a prop. For the cloth i painted a weight map and added physics. Everything, including the images, was rendered in unreal and all animation/rigging was done in character creator (except the animation of the toad, which was animated in blender.)
I was not able to render the turntable itself with path tracing, because i didn’t have the time or computer power to do so. But then i get to show you how he looks like in real time as well.
I did render a few close up shots with path tracing tho.
I was not sure if i was allowed to make an animation for my turntable, so i added a static pose at the end of the video as well ![]()

Awesome! Animated turntables are always a big plus. I could’ve animated mine as well, but I ran out of time.
Thanks, yes that’s the advantage of making a game character, that everything is real time. However, you were able to get a lot sharper details. You model looks phenomenal, you should be proud of the result ![]()
